I used to see them when I was a kid, 4 years that went on and it was mortifying. I dreaded going to bed even at noon I sometimes thought “This day will end too”. Worst 4 years of my life by miles and miles. It then moved on into dreams, thankfully, I had all sort of tricks to wake myself up from night terrors and would be paralyzed but thankfully knew it passed and the demons were not there anymore. >20 years later and I see them in my dreams very rarely and I can “brave” through the dread to wake me up and am fine(-ish, still takes me long to get back to sleep).
