Thanks for all the work you all do
Pictures seem to be borked? https://voyager.lemmy.ml/post/16868
Upon posting the body text is also immediately added into the comment section as if a suggested comment
apparently it uploads but doesn’t add the URL to the post when creating, I copied the image link from profile -> uploads edited it in and now it works
Oh no please tell me that there is an option to inline open images??? I dont wanna click on every image individually, have it open over the entire webpage I’m using, then click again to close it, scroll further and repeat???
yankee politicians don’t even bother with promises anymore, it’s “vote for me or else the others will win and you don’t want that now do you???”
I just hope someone gets

I don’t know but I would be 0% shocked, especially after that revelation /pol/ got started after epstein meeting poole or something like that? (do not quote me on this I haven’t looked into it properly)

I’m so glad I remember to tell my wife to not tie bed-time to darkness back in winter lol

Noooo dude you can’t have a stack of five dollar bills in a class room full of jewish kids open with “I’d like to thank rabbi so-and-so for inviting me to your yeshiva”
and then summarizing a lesson he gave about some mitzva and it somehow still gets worse
4chan couldn’t have come up with a more cartoonishly antisemitic skit come on now

If it’s the one from yogthos then yeah

Yeah, piefed is rather small and apparently no one even thought to as much as prompt an LLM for the code. It was an unknown vulnerability.

is this live? If it is please remove the comment and tell the devs. This could put people who already are being harassed on the regular by trolls at risk. I don’t know if IP addresses are logged, not everyone uses burner email addresses etc.
I can’t even mod the comment bc then it just shows up on the modlog, i’d have to remove the entire post.

I mean they weren’t given any heads up but had to instantly shut down their servers and figure out what was going on and come up with a solution on the spot. Not that I think piefed is well-made but just publicly posting critical security vulnerabilities is a dick move.

I don’t know anything about that. They got a semi-hardcoded 3000 entry long list of blocked domains including thegrayzone and wikileaks. An admin can unblock one by one or do a manual database transaction to drop the list.
On the flagship piefed.social instance they also flag content from peoplesdispatch and electronicintifada as untrustworthy.

There is no “correction” necessary, this was the plan all along. Piefed’s main selling point always was, “lemmy but anti-tankie”. That is the openly stated goal. All those little QoL features that got added at breakneckspeed and with little forethought were to make it easier and more compelling to switch, but I bet the number 1 thing among people that choose piefed over lemmy is that they hate the politics of the lemmy devs (which they don’t put into their software) and want the anti-tankie software that bakes it’s bias into it’s code. A lot of “har har fuck those tankies we like their platform but hate them.”
Really not a fan of the new list though, the titles are way over there while the pictures are all hugging the other wall, making my eyes flick over the entire screen with nothing but empty space in between. Especially when scrolling through a meme community this is kinda tiring.
The card view crowds them all over so really the opposite end of the spectrum, that just makes it harder to focus on a specific image.
Also really really hate clicking every picture to open it and then clicking again to close it. Even worse for text posts where I have to navigate to the post first? I really like the inline expansion please don’t kill it
