I don’t get how libs can tolerate being taken for granted like this. They’re not being mature or practical - they’re accepting mistreatment by an establishment sworn to serve them.

Trump and his supporters aren’t better, but at least he’s telling them what they want to hear. He at least made sure to get checks out to people and had his signature stamped on them.

I dunno, at least there’s a strategy there. And Biden has had four fucking years and he’s done nothing to get people motivated to vote or even register to vote. Not even going into his participation in genocide, it’s just a lack of strategy to the point of self-sabotage.

And the entire Democratic party is complicit in all of it. It’s like they want to lose, because all I’m hearing are about how bad trump is/was. And it’s like, I was fucking there. And after three years, all they can offer is to give him a verbal reprimand and coverage on every major news network, speech, and social media posting.

It’s just mind-blowing to think of the wasted time and energy on the part of the US political system.

Certainly, steps were taken towards a subset of that list.

          Uh, no there weren’t.

The closest thing to a step was the most watered down means tested partial student loan forgiveness for some, which got held up and the Admin didn’t fight for. Not sure if it ever went through.

The rest of that stuff - nothing

Their strategy for the last several decades is “we’ll try to implement something and then something will stop us and oh darn we can’t do anything about it.” “Oh no the Parlimentarian won’t let us do it” “Oh no Manchin and Sinema won’t let us do it” “Oh no we don’t want to breach decorum”

There’s no meaningful change, anything they do actually pass is obnoxiously means tested. They were bragging about cutting overdraft fees in half, about a 16 cent less Fourth of July cookout. Affordable housing is nonexistent, it’s all a speculation market and owned by property management corps these days. The debt forgiveness is such an easy win that they intentionally let die and never did anything else just being happy to kinda sorta let a tiny section of the population see some relief.

When you look at China and their significant advances in renewables and reducing their carbon footprint, it’s quite obvious that when a nation actually gives a shit and pushes for something better, you could have more than some paltry tax credit system that gets abused by fuckos like Musk where they’ll remain profitable because they’re selling the credits.

Bro he is the fucking president. There are no “steps”. All the steps that Genocide Joe needs to do are:

Step 1: Pick up the pencil

Step 2: Sign the executive order

      Cut off aid to Israel.

Order the military to tear up the child drowning device across the Rio.

Allow civilians to get abortions and other healthcare at military hospitals.

Allow civilians to use military housing, order military to build more.

Burn student loan debt, say you’re gonna do it again, every year, until congress makes college free.

Pardon and expunge the records of anyone who was convicted of cannabis possession or dealing.

Appoint a head of the CDC who will use their power to mandate free vaccines and require sufficient ventilation and other disease-controlling measures if they’re not gonna recommend masks.

Follow each step of this by publicly daring the SCOTUS to stop these overwhelmingly popular policies, so they can be ignored and marginalized if they do try to stop them.

Replacing Biden as the Democratic candidate

      Biden not engaging in genocide

Biden using his power for the good of his constituency

Biden keeping his promises from before he was elected

The Democratic party treating this situation with more seriousness

I don’t think it’s difficult to get people motivated to vote if the president has the unilateral ability to improve material conditions. If for nobody else than for the people who got him into office.

Surely there’d be some sort of leadership reform or attempts at planning ahead in the wake of this latest spat of right wing bullshit? Some attempt at formulating a change of approach? Some attempt at adapting to the moment? These people are apparently smart, they shouldn’t just be sitting there doing the same thing repeatedly against opposition that’s readily been changing up their game plan and escalating my entire life to date. As things stand, the angle they’ve taken is deeply unserious and (almost consciously) no match for the looming threat of a right wing coalition that will continue to try and pull their shit for decades to come.

At this rate, we’re gonna have the Heritage Foundation and Hillsdale freaks running this shit for sure.
