    I don’t understand what’s the issue here.

    If there are specific claims, those can be investigated without knowing the sources, just get a testimony from everyone. If it’s just a generic claim, it couldn’t be investigated even if the sources were known.

    What is even going on here?

      They are trying to punish the whistleblowers to prevent any whistleblowing in the future.

        Same thing Australia did to its whistleblower, David Mcbride, on war crimes in Afghanistan.
