Earlier this year Google Maps on Android Auto started showing buildings in 3D while driving. Now, that functionality is rolling...

That banner image is Android Automotive, not Android Auto.

Android Auto is an application on your phone that displays on the car’s infotainment.

Android Automotive is when the car’s infotainment is running Android directly.

  They should have just called them both Auto and remove any sense of clarity like “Google Meet”.
