Specifically, ones that aren’t chock-full of mobile game enshittification and in-app purchases?

I don’t mind paying for games but I’m sick and tired of predatory monetization schemes and will immediately uninstall a game if the tutorial insists on showing me a store page.

There’s no dash in Brotato. It’s similar, but has distinct waves of enemies with shopping between waves. I like it.

That’s a good recommendation, unfortunately I’ve already played it to death. 😸

I can recommend Magic Survival. Came out before Vampire Survivors, but has been worked on slower. Runs usually last from 16?min (normal) to 30min (endless). Game autosaves occasionally during runs so you can continue later on. English translation varies in quality, but everything can be understood imo.

Has revive with an ad once per run and another ad sometimes when ending a run. Leveling classes is slow, but can be sped up by spending real money. Personally I’m fine with the slow progression, but others may not like it.

Its feels like mix of Crimsonland (PC) and Meteor Blitz (Android), both amazing games. I love brotato, thx for the comment. Im still trying to figure out how much is it pay to win tho

Brotato isn’t pay to win afaik. From round 1 you can beat the main track and follow up with an endless build.

Meh…just accidentally figured if I die I can restart game and repeat level. Meh…much less hardcore than it looked like at first

It has a lot of polish but very little depth. Literally every mission is the same. And the progression system is just getting achievements and unlocking characters while doing the same mission.

I did it enjoy the game, but only very briefly. I put in ~12 hours.

Extra recommended for disabled players, as you can pretty much play the entire game with a single finger.

I enjoyed this recently and haven’t even played DRG. Decided to stop after a while tho and await full release so I don’t get tired of it before it’s fully fleshed out.

The YouTuber “Wanderbots” covers a ton of games akin to Vampire survivors and the genre has a pseudo name of “bullet heaven” (opposite of a bullet hell). Plenty of amazing ones like “Death must die” though I cannot remember all the names off the top of my head, just take a look through the videos and I’m sure you’ll find a ton

I like swarm survivor as the genre title myself.
Did vampire survivors really create the genre?

I think bullet heaven works in the sense that you spray the bullets, but it is also a swarm survivor too so I can agree with that as well.

I don’t believe it was the first, but I do believe it was the one that brought the genre to the spotlight. Since Vampire survivors came out the genre has taken off and we’ve seen a great many takes on it which personally, I’ve enjoyed. I find the rather short gameplay nice for fitting into tight schedules and non-commitment gameplay

I would recommend Bio Prototype and Star Survivor Premium. I played both on pc and they are just as great on android.

Halls of Torment. If Diablo and Vampire Survivors had a baby

Edit: not an android game :(
