    I said it on the old Halo subreddit and got disagreed with almost unanimously, but this is exactly how I feel. Except about how little lore, because there’s actually a lot when you take into account the books, comics, and short stories.

    But the whole “fractures” thing they introduced with Infinite and the alternate armors coming from alternate timelines was just unnecessary. We don’t need different timelines or a “Halo multiverse.”

      Yeah. I don’t mean to belittle how much lore Halo does have! I’ve enjoyed a great deal of it.

      I just mean to say that, as a younger franchise, Halo isn’t at a Star Wars or Marvel Comics level of ludicrously weighed down by lore. So I feel like the first show could have done a lot more to navigate within established lore.

      Agreed. I think having alternate timelines or worse, dimension hopping, detracts from Halo’s roots in real war, where actions have devastating consequences.
