So far, Google has only confirmed that the new weather app is coming to the Pixel Tablet.
Tried it on my Xiaomi 12. I don’t understand whatbis the fuzz is about this. It is “nothing special” weather app.
They ripped off an open source app Breezy Weather and changed a couple of the card shapes lol
Seems the defining feature of Pixel weather is that it uses AI to summarize the weather below it. Something that’s already done in any weather report by a human.
It also uses AI to show you the “most relevant” weather to your interests. Something I can do better than AI with a tickbox in the settings.
Weather apps are usually after your data, and this one has stupid AI summaries built in like Google thinks normal people can’t read a weather report
But does it have ads? I refuse to use anything that isn’t a massive surveillance tool full of personalized ads. I can’t stand not seeing advertising everywhere.
