Threats against federal emergency response personnel have hampered relief work in parts of western North Carolina hard hit by Hurricane Helene, prompting disaster workers to relocate because of safety concerns and feeding a cycle of fear and anxiety.

      If nothing else, it’s a crappy military strategy.

      If there’s a new Civil War the NC National Guard is going to get called out.

      They are going to remember the people who made them do extra work after a disaster, and also remember that the Federal government actually showed up to help.
