Just further up the post I saw you commenting suggesting that you didn’t know these guys blocked off an entire section of a city? Shouldn’t you acquaint yourself with the situation to some degree before having an opinion on it?
Barber and Lich are charged with mischief, counselling others to commit mischief, intimidation and obstructing police.
The article makes it pretty clear what they’re accused of doing. They also posted about it in tons of places and recorded themselves doing it, so as humans with eyes, ears, and brains, we can conclude that they actually did this.
On top of what the other guy said, a whole lot of those “protestors” frequently assaulted and harassed residents of the city. Oh, and a direct demand of the organizers was to overthrow the democratically elected government. So those crimes.
Trials? What crimes exactly? Lots better protesters to go after. You know. Ones that burn stuff and loot stuff.
