Elon on the ocean. Elon, with axe in hand. His ship sinking. Spaz, his brain fried. Elon and Spaz on the ocean. Reddit and twitter, when the people left.

Darmok and Jalad, recaptioned.
I 'll be coming back to rememe this!
I don’t know what to tell you. Makes sense to me
Yup, just replace all familiar jargon with fantasy words and you’ll see how it sounds to anyone new
The obvious solution is to kidnap them and teleport them to a planet where they will be forced to create an account
No! Forced to create an account but not on the flagship instances!
I have no clue what I’m doing… Hap!

Ha! Pretty accurate
That is hilarious and so accurate. Source: me, who despite being here chatting with my Star Trek folks, still does not understand much of nothing about Lemmy. I’m learning, though.
Reddit -> Terok Nor, Lemmy -> DS9
Reddit is a tacky fascist corporate eyesore!
This is my first time making use of crosspost feature!
Mirab, with sails unfurled
Good job!
Oh nice, I didn’t know we could crosspost.
Congratulations!
Reddit: Drake, his palm thrust outward.
Lemmy: Drake, his finger raised.
I laughed so hard on this. Nice post!!!
Janeway, when she was talking about making sense of temporal paradoxes.
This is pretty much me today or me any time I told any friends about Linux
That’s easy… Linux is a lot like windows used to be, except sometimes it’s very difficult because you’re trying to do something complex, other times it’s very difficult because that’s just how it is.
Is it bad that I know what all those phrases mean?
Actually I would love an explanation. This bit has always gone over my head. Asi understand it they use stories to communicate but I think I missed context somewhere
- Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra: Two parties coming together in mutual struggle
- Temba, his arms wide: An act of giving or generosity
- Shaka, when the walls fell: Failure or destruction.
In other words, in the Fediverse, you can offer content to different instances, and if another instance is bad, you can defederate. Tamarian requires a bit of context to make sense. (and that’s why I’m a nerd, Your Honor)
Karno, in the forest with Mira!
