There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia’s youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don’t want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists’ side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR’s former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR’s forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster’s telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a ‘propaganda tax’, if you don’t believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

1-2 weeks ago: “Leftists have no idea about history. People can join bad organizations, even the Waffen-SS, to resist a foreign occupation and that doesn’t make them a Nazi or a bad person.”

Now: “Any Palestinian who joins or assists Hamas or any militant Palestinian group should be shot on sight. I support a complete siege of Gaza; all 2 million people inside must suffer, even die, for their crimes.”

Genuinely impressed by how mind-bogglingly stupid the average westerner is. Feed the westerner any propaganda slop and he’ll eat it with a massive smile on his face while thanking his master. The allegedly propagandized asiatic Russian and the dumb bloodthirsty Arab already knows that most state news is fake and shouldn’t be trusted, but the westerner can’t even form an opinion without eating some slop first. You know as an Arab dude with a fucking family here in the West, it’s getting harder and harder to live with such a hostile racist society. I’ve discussed with my wife if it’s perhaps smarter to just cut loose the “privileges” of the West and move back into the Arab World and raise our future kids there. I’m close to the edge, I can’t tolerate life here anymore.

I have a strong belief that parts of Canada are uniquely weak to Western influence due to the large proportion of first-generation immigrants. Most notably Vancouver (43% white), but also to a significant degree Toronto (53% white and falling). It is an ideal place for influencing policy because many Chinese and Indian immigrants know not to accept the government line as truth.

Those communities are ripe for disruption and will see far less backlash for taking a moderately anti-Western perspective, particularly if you choose to surround yourself with other immigrants.

Only you can stop the spread of Western brainworms… Or something

Edit: to clarify, Canada as a whole is still sort of fucked, but I think it’s uniquely situated to be easier to un-fuck than other places.

A large percentage of those immigrants fled from “bad” countries. They hated it there and want those countries to fall. If they see through the lies of the MSM the are ok with the lies being told. They justify the lies as furthering the downfall of “bad” countries.

Immigrants to the anglosphere are often racists and have a high level of anti-immigration sentiment especially from their home country. They think the people from their home countries will flood their new home and make it turn into the country they skipped out on.

I was all for Palestine until they rudely interrupted my music festival next to the world’s largest concentration camp, forcing me to fly back to JFK in economy. They have left me no choice but to advocate for genocide.

I’m revising my position on the odds here.

The fact that the US is sending a second carrier group that will take 2 weeks to arrive is indicative of western generals believing that the Israeli position is not strong enough, and that they think it will still be needed even 2 weeks from now is a strong indication they don’t think this will be over quickly.

Everyone that spread doomer shit about violent resistance being pointless and doomed was completely fucking wrong.

I am legitimately seeing what “paper tiger” really means.

Just wanna say a big fuck you to all the people that said the work Palestine Action were doing in the UK was useless and pointless adventurism or purely aesthetic.

Elbit Systems reduced their ammunition production by 75% in the last few years, and halved their drone production. All of this was happening in the UK and while it’s probably only in the hundreds of thousands of 20mm - 40mm rounds and hundreds of drones these are still resources that have been deprived of Israel in this conflict.

Every single person that took part in those weapons factory attacks is a fucking hero in my eyes.

    • Here’s a question, what’s the proper punishment for people who work for weapons companies? Like if tomorrow we created the United Soviet States of America what do we do to them? Executing every employee of Lockheed Martin seems like maybe too much but I’m not sure. Maybe forced labor rebuilding the regions their weapons destroyed?

Depends, there’s 3 groups of people.

        1. I think some people get sucked into it thinking they’re good, then quit and feel like it was a huge mistake.

        2. Some others are literally mindless tools completely oblivious to any right or wrong involved

        3. The people who are literally evil shits.

I think each of these should be treated differently and we’d have a court that decides what is a proportional response for each.

Anybody else notice how the western media and governments are working overdrive to frame the attack as purely terrorist against civilians and not even mentioning the military aspect whatsoever? They don’t talk about the IDF bases that were destroyed or the checkpoints. Apparently every death is just some random “innocent” woman

One thing the Palestine situation has revealed is the pure, vapid emptiness of liberal ideology. I’ll bet you everything I own that every one of these universities putting out their genocide-supporting statements have some sort of land acknowledgement on their website.

It’s all virtue signaling. If indigenous Americans rose up and tried to take back their land, you’d see them change their tune real fuckin’ quick. They’d be shitting their pants over the brown savages coming to kill them and behead their precious white babies. They would demand concentration camps.

Modern liberal ideology is just conformism. It is a cynical weaponization of actual beliefs against anything revolutionary. It’s so-called “beliefs” can be twisted to mean anything at any time.

It’s all just nothing. No substance whatsoever. There has been zero progress in the Western psyche or thought since 1939. Almost every progressive construct since then has been an illusion. All it takes is a pinprick and their brains have been teleported back all the way to the Third Reich, demanding, baying, screaming for genocide. Back then it was the Jews. Today it is the Palestinians. Soon it will be for the Chinese. They want them all dead. Billions.

It seems to me that neoliberal capitalism demands a culture where people have no beliefs, no convictions, and no virtues. To survive in late capitalism you cannot have community ties; You must be willing to rip up your entire life and move where work is at a moments notice. You cannot have any political convictions that would get in the way of taking whatever wage labor is available. The police state being what it is, attempting to act on your convictions and virtues is inherently dangerous.

The path of least resistance is to believe what you are told to believe, do what you are told to do, and don’t think about it.

The stupid thing is that there’s already a solution to the land issue. In Vancouver, First Nations groups are leading massive real estate development projects on First Nations land in the city. It’s simultaneously incredibly lucrative to the nation, addressing a massive gap in Vancouver’s housing market, and hosing all the NIMBYs who want development as long as it’s not close to them. It doesn’t undo the past, but it’s probably been the single most effective means of compensation and reparations in the country.

Props to the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh people.

Meanwhile, fucking NIMBYs in Vancouver are still trying their hardest to block the developments or make their lives as hard as possible… Because indigenous rights only matter when they’re not blocking your view, I guess. Good thing that it’s a political no-no to go against the First Nations here on their land.

The current thing that creeps me out is how many live interviews on American tv news feature so-and-so from the Yada Yada Institute for Peace. And they are just as much of a hawk as the Israeli generals. The only difference is the think tankers just use a lot euphemisms for death and destruction.

    Norman Finkelstein

Chaim Rumkowski was a Jewish collaborator with the Nazis during World War II. Known as “King Chaim,” Rumkowski accumulated massive wealth and power in the Lodz ghetto as he presided over the deportation of Lodz Jews to the death camps.

He harbored the conceit that he himself would be spared. But King Chaim was wrong. Here’s how Wikipedia describes his ending:

In August 1944, Rumkowski and his family joined the last transport to Auschwitz, and he was murdered there on August 28, 1944, by Jewish Sondercommanado inmates who beat him to death as revenge for his role in the Holocaust.

I was reminded of this episode in Jewish history when it was reported this morning that “King Mehdi” Hasan was suspended from MSNBC for being a Muslim.

Context: MSNBC suspends Muslim anchors amid Israeli war in Gaza; Arab News sources confirm reports that US network sidelined Mehdi Hasan

Israel has now cut off food, water, gas, and electricity to Gaza. Israel is essentially in full control of Gaza’s borders, and residents of Gaza have nowhere else to go.

Israel is denying Palestinians basic requirements for human life, while simultaneously bombing dense residential areas. I see no way to look at this other than genocide.

Incredible to be living through events that, in 50, 70, maybe 100 years from now will be regarded with a similar degree of horror as the Holocaust. People living under communism in 2100 will wonder why we - as in, the mass of humanity living at the time - did nothing about the Palestinian Genocide of 2023. There will be people who get ancestry tests that reveal that they had Israeli settler grandparents and they will feel such intense shame and even try and hide the results. As we describe extremely bad people as “Hitler”, they will describe similarly bad people as “Netanyahu”, an example of almost superhuman evil. Goebbels and Himmler will have similar comparisons to current Israeli politicians.

listen here kiddo, i get it. i dont like the two state solution

and quite frankly, i dont wanna support hamas, it feels like supporting terrorists

but im gonna do it, you wanna know why?

because the alternative is a fucking genocide

    a genocide! its a genocide!

so maybe we can have a conversation around dismantling the terror network when a genocide isnt happening

maybe we can do that later kiddo. champ. chief. maybe we can talk about it later

    maybe-later-kiddo
