Have a case and a screen protector. The phone is in pretty good shape with no dent or scratches on the screen after 3 years, dropped it plenty of times too

Dirty, cracked screen protector, slow as shit, still does what I need it to do.

I use a screen protector and case with a pop socket. My phone is 4 years old and still in good condition. The screen protector has some small scratches but not enough to be worth replacing.

I was using < 200 euro phones until recently and never bothered to put any protection on it. But a couple of months ago, I purchased a Pixel 6 and am now using a cover as well as a protective screen.

I have a terrible habit of dropping (or often straight up throwing) my phone around on accident. I always use a tempered glass screen protector and a solid case that extends beyond the screen in the front.

I use a case. On my previous two phones, I used a screen protector, but nothing happened. So I didn’t use one for this. And unfortunately it has a crack on the side now.

    Case, screen protector, and AppleCare+

Case because I like the way my case feels over just metal, and screen protector because my phone sometimes ends up in the same pocket as my keys and I don’t want to end up with micro scrapes. Additionally, one time I pushed off of some rocks I was sitting on and my phone was face down and I shattered my screen protector but my phone’s glass was fine.

I’ve only ever actually used Apple Care once and it was because I got a battery service needed alert about a month before care was going to expire so I got a free replacement phone - it was in the middle of COVID closures too so they mailed me a new phone and I mailed them my old one. I could probably get by without it but I’m paranoid that the time I skip it will be the time I shatter my phone before I’m ready to upgrade.

If you have a good case (like otterbox) you shouldnt need applecare. I tend to break things a lot so I figured I’d get the Applecare and not worry about cases and screen protectors. I hate cases and screen protectors.

The only thing I’ve used it for was a hardware fail after warranty but before Apple Care was up so yeah, it’s like do I want to pay for it up front or just wait and see. I don’t love bulky cases and I’m not hard on my electronics but I’m also clumsy as all hell so it’s more of a peace of mind thing.

I use a screen protector and case. I tend to drop and scratch phones so it’s for the best. No protection plan though. I should replace the screen protector as it started peeling on one corner a few months back.

I have a case, screen protector, and a vinyl skin to protect the back glass from scratches too. There is literally no surface on my device left unprotected.

Otterbox Defender. 5+ years and still mint condition, except some paint scratches on the headphone and USB inputs.

i use a repairable phone. Brought a sreen protector and a case bout left my case a few weeks ago to my sister who has the same model and already some damages to the outside. The protection glass gets more and more cracks but nothing too serious

iPhone 7 Max. No screen protector or case.

I broke the screen once dropping the phone into my sink as I was trying to prop it up and watch a video whilst doing the dishes. Replaced the screen and have since got a small scratch from accidentally putting the phone in the same pocket as my house keys.

I’ve been called a psycho for this, but meh, I like the slim ascetic of it and don’t want it to feel clunky to hold.
