Rather a minivan than an SUV. I don’t quite get why they’re called SUVs, because they usually aren’t very sporty, and despite being bulky they’re not very utilitarian. They’re just Vs. A minivan can hold a lot of people, and with foldable/removable seats there’s a lot of utility too.
Over in Asia that’s a very common thing, check out the Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge, they’re basically more vertical limos that take up less space than a luxury van. They are fully decked out with reclining airline style seats in the back. It makes sense Volvo (now owned by Chinese company Geele) would be getting in on that.
I wish we had kei cars avaiable here in Europe. I don’t want a battlecruiser, I want a compact vehicle with lots of utility.
I’m not in the market for a family car; I’m not in the market for a family. Give me something like the Ford Ka with the shape of the Skoda Yeti/Kia Soul, with a trailer hook, foldable seats, and AC and we’re good.

China absolutely love minivans. It makes complete sense over there
Japan as well - even the kei cars kind of look like a mini minivan. Toyota, Honda and Suzuki among others have many different models.

The kei cars are absolutely tiny, about the size of a Fiat. So you guys do absolutely have kei sized cars in Europe.
Fiat is an entire brand. Do you mean the Fiat 500/Ford Ka?
Yes. But I’ve also read that the Dacia spring is a pretty small car so there’s probably other brands and models that would qualify.
My mother-in-law drives a Toyota kei car in Japan and it can still fit five people. It’s a little bigger than my old 1990 Honda Civic.
I had no idea Dacia made EVs! The Spring isn’t available here in Sweden.
I’d rather not get an EV though. I’ll drive very rarely, and when I do it’s more like to be long distances so EVs just wouldn’t work for me.
