I’ll admit I don’t know jack about grenades, but if these were military grenades, wouldn’t it have killed nearly every person in the room?

Depends. The human body can be surprisingly resilient to physical trauma, grenades vary in type are lethality, and there’s also just dumb luck that the fragments didn’t hit anything immediately lethal too.

It’s often misunderstood that explosives ’lethality raduis’ means everyone inside 3/10/20/etc meters is 100% a goner. It actually means that deaths are more probable than not, which is why there’s a second ‘effective radius’ published in military literature. The former radius is a good chance of immediate death. The later means death would be unsurprising but not expected. A small chunk of metal exploding in all directions doesn’t blanket 100% of a much larger area, but the dispersion can be expected to achieve hits on human sized targets. The closer the subject means more hits, leading to more and more likely death for each individual

Very glad that didn’t play out here and cause deaths, but these people are absolutely going to be traumatized for a long time

Is there a transcription/translation for this video available? Where did he get the grenades and of what type were they? And why of all things is terrorist guy getting resusciated? And how the fuck are you getting entry to a village council building with high explosives?
