I know the year just started but I’m curious to hear people’s answers. Maybe there’s a new game that seems promising or a new to you game that you’ve really been enjoying.

For me it’s been Sex Note. It has a decent amount of content and a variety of characters and positions. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the animations.

There’s some broken English and a little bit of grinding but I’m having a good time

Also, Take me to the Dungeon is a good Slay the Spire esque deckbuilder card game with some actually neat ideas. Scenes are great and mainly based on winning/losing the main story levels. Once you figure out how the game works it becomes very easy, though its not intuitive to learn the major impactful mechanics.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder. I’ve had this on my wishlist for a while but might pick it up next time. A friend got me Last Evil, another Slay the Spire-esque game, but the art style didn’t click with me as much (and it seemed like a pain to control from my Steam Deck).

I picked up Kaiju Princess during the Steam Winter Sale and was surprised at how well they dressed up a simple cohabitation/management simulation. There’s nothing super notable about the gameplay, but the interactive sex scene + CG-based scenes were reasonably well-illustrated.

My only complaint is that I thought the scenes were superhard to unlock because I only got a handful of scenes from start to beating the main story. Turns out that some scenes auto-play on unlock (like the relationship rank up scenes) while others are simply unlocked and need to be selected from the Scenes menu. That was definitely different from what I’m used to.

Peeping Dorm Manager was also really good, but also light on content, though what’s there is gold. They did a good job of streamlining what is usual a tedious process of tracking NPC schedules by giving you an automatic “quest log” that tracks new pieces of information as you discover them. It’s a bit of a grind to get resources at the start, but it’s super easy once you get items that makes it more efficient to grind.

Flipwitch was a good metroidvania style game, with added lewd content baked into progression, collectables, loss screens, and quests. However scenes could be a little repetitive, unimaginative, and short. I would reccomend though as a fun game mechanically even if they took out the sex.
