My company could literally operate indefinitely without a CEO and nobody would even notice.
This is probably the rub. CEOs are ALREADY redundant, AI doesn’t change that.
Is it a job worth doing if an AI can already do it?
Or they could be replaced with a vacant position
Huh we could make AI for the entire economy and call it Gosplan and then just not have any CEOs at all
The AI would probably cause fewer unnecessary problems for people down the chain
The funny part is that these are (2) “experts” in management. So they’re really talking about the actual worthlessness of CEOs much more than the imaginary abilities of “AI”.
