For those that aren’t familiar, Spirit Halloween is a store that pops up in vacant stores around the middle of August and remain until early November. They sell Halloween things like costumes, decorations, etc. I wonder why there isn’t a Christmas version that could sell Christmas stuff that could pop up after Spirit leaves and remains until January. There’s plenty of Christmas decorations, tree, etc that are sold each year, feels like it would be something that could work.
Because literally every store already turns into a Christmas megastore starting in September. We really don’t need more.
Also, Christmas tree farms and year round Christmas stores exist
This is kind of like asking “why isn’t there a white history month?”
I believe you’re looking for Christmas tree farms.
Also, there are so many year-round Christmas shops.
Also also, Spirit is mostly for costumes, which aren’t relevant to Christmas.
Unless you’re dressing as an elf, santa, or reindeer
The recent trend of Halloween decoration is swinging towards Christmas decorations. Just flood your yard with a Halloween theme made of every item you can afford rather than trying to set an unsettling mood (for the people with more than a few decorations). Maybe I’m too stuck up, maybe I overrate the spookiness of my display. But there’s a ton of absurdly overpriced props with the world’s worst speakers for sale in Spirit. I really noticed it when the home depot “#12ftskeleton” prop went so viral they put the hashtag on the box (still not convinced it wasn’t viral marketing).
Shhh… Don’t give them any ideas lol
Have you never been to a Kriskindlemarket? There’s half a dozen in Chicago all of November and December.
Because Satan is smarter than Jesus
But Jesus is sexier!

Plant nursuries and hobby shops often go into mega xmas mode.
There’s this one storefront where I live that’s basically unused for the year. But once Thanksgiving comes near the owner of the building will stock it with Christmas decorations and trees for the town to buy. Locally we just call it the Spirit Christmas version.
In 96 I worked at a Halloween shop that I do not think is around any longer. It may have been called Halloween Spirit. They had a year round shop called Spirit or something. They sold pool tables and ping pong tables. Anyway when the Halloween shop was closing for the year they were going to open a Christmas version. That was the only year I remember seeing it. I also do not remember the Halloween shop coming back the next year. (This was in Berks County PA in case it was regional, and now that I am thinking about it, their main location may have been King of Prussia)
No thanks. Have to deal with Christmas stuff in craft stores 5 months early already.
There was a retail chain called Christmas Tree Shops, and while they weren’t exclusively Christmas-themed, it was certainly a part of their brand. I recently learned they closed all stores after over 50 years in business.
I’ve been to several Christmas stores open only during the winter in Texas
Year round, in many European cities you can find the Kathe Wolfhart stores. Omg. It will change you life. Grinches cured with one look at the weihnachtspyramide. The cruelest of summer heats is quenched. Life is good under thousands of handmade, wooden Santa’s.
I have not went in awhile but we had a perm store that was all about decoration and who boy when xmass came around that was its big time.
