These dudes think they’re the “good guys” from that fantasy land where “good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns” BUT THEY KEEP FUCKING MISSING. How are you, a “good guy”, supposed to stop a bad guy if you can’t even hit anything.

Absolutely loser mentality from start to finish and these folks are proof.

We need a theory of gun morality to explain the new data. The only way to stop a bad guy without a gun is a good guy with a gun, but only with a coherent ideology. Good guy with a gun + wacko terminally online ideology is not useful.

Still adventurism. Need a good guy with a gun, a coherent ideology, comrades who are prepared to capitalize on the moment and a specific plan for how the shooting will advance the cause factoring into account an accurate assessment of the proletariat’s present sympathies and tolerance for violence. A unicorn in other words.

Meanwhile yamagami is only arguably good and had no coherent ideology or program and got the goods anyway shrug-outta-hecks

yamagami had a coherent ideology or at least reason, i.e. “my mother was exploited and died in poverty via a cult, I wish to destroy the leader of this cult and if not that then it’s biggest enabler”. He succeeded due to this very clear, very direct understanding of the target and goal as well as likely the inherent challenge of creating the doohicky due to the gun laws in Japan.

Ngl they have all been totally not “good guys” given them being neocon wonks and weird ass distorted chuds in their ideology. Contrast with yamagami who had a clear vision of why and who he wished to do an adventure-time on that he was successful even in a country with strict gun laws.

Hot take is that these presidential assassin fail sons are a result of American chauvinism inherent in gun culture and the ease of access in guns leading to a over estimation in one’s own skills in actually hitting a specific target.

Honestly I know a lot of gun people (being a Burgerlander we all know each other) on the right right and left and everywhere between, and the only ones who I knew via demonstration and me shooting with them that were good shots were not the “leave it loaded by my bed side” kind of people and were instead the “keep my guns and ammo in different safes in different places” kind of people.

So yeah basically it turns out at least in my experience that irresponsible people demonstrably suck especially in the gun department.

Most red states privatize land so conservatives can really just consoom gun and not train in any dynamic environment. You can find posts of dudes moving to Texas from California or PNW and realizing there’s no public land lol

Once again, the adage of Americans have the freedom to buy is true.

They have all their national service stuff but they also have surprisingly lax options for private ownership of guns and ammunition as well (basically just a background check no registries or significant restrictions). It’s just only a small number of people actually do it.

I was lead to believe that privately owned firearms had to be stored under lock and key at a gun club at all times when they were not being used?

It’s been a while since I looked into but I think it’s not a rule at a national level, but the canton police have significant flexibility on whether they approve applications for semi-automatic rifles and handguns. So one place might have requirements that another might not.

But for all manually operated firearms it’s pretty cruise-y.

Edit: the more I look into there’s lot of different permits with overlap, shall issue or must issue etc. Swiss bureaucracy. Etc. But I guess my point is like if a persons want a pump action shotgun or a bolt action rifle they’d get it very quickly, and be able to keep it at home with ammo, for more complicated guns it might be harder.

Chuds have guns as a security blanket, they don’t bother to learn to actually shoot. In their fantasies, just having one will save them while not considering that the thug trying to rob them probably has one too.

I remember feeling kind of bad hearing that a guy died from Trumps first assasination attempt and then someone found the guys twitter and obviously the guy was a massive nazi, so my sympathy just vanished immediately. Not sure why i expected the guy to be normal, but somehow I did.

He’s possibly not even being charged with attempted assassination because the only shots that were fired were from the secret service agents. Goes to show you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
