No no no the plot is actually really intense, see Jun-chan tried pineapple shrimp ramen for the first time and is now coming to terms with her love of ramen despite how it fogs up her glasses
crazy
Ms Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles episode 2, by the way.
huh thanks
Real
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
That’s why it’s the best though
It’s alright when there’s genuine comedy, like Nichijou
But yeah, wake me up when there’s Chinese battle anime that isn’t the cgi mess that dominates their market right now.
Chinese mecha Renaissance plz
The Founder of Diabolism has some pretty sweet fights
(And it’s also pretty gay)
Cool! ty for mentioning it
whoa hold up, i didnt come into this thread to be personally attacked wtf bro?
Yeah, I support the cute girls doing cute things genre:
“I can detect that these cute girls possess unimaginable power. I have never seen anything like this before. They are just like Magical Girls, except their magical power increases exponentially as they do things considered cute.”
“Huh? Then why aren’t there any Incubators around for you to connect to? A Magical Girl can’t be born without a contract with you, right?”
“Perhaps they are evolved humans. Theoretically, humans could take this path without my help. Maybe they’re not even the species Homo sapiens anymore.”
“What would these Magical Girlish humans be then?”
Homo magica.
When I put on anime and there is someone fighting, going through drama or serious romance:
jesus fucking christ those replies
some stand outs:
spoiler [CW: racial slurs]
I’m not interested in censored chnk-shit.
You’re never getting proper fanservice in a Chinese animesque show.
love how twitter weebfashies don’t even try to hide the fact that they’re actual pedophiles
oh no! chinese cartoons aren’t sexualizing literal children!
They can copy the style but it will probably just be generic shit.
because the japanese anime industry has been producing nothing but original and high quality content
So much cope in the replies, meanwhile Japanese studios are increasingly sucking in DEI money
lol, lmao even
Verified Twitter weebs? Verified pedophiles WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP Dot fuckemup
Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, I’ma do my stuff
Why you tourin’ like a chud? Ain’t you tired? Tryna find a girl as a sexpat in Asia
As an addition to your lyrics
It doesn’t rhyme, so I think you could do better.
Oof, well, I tried 😅
[three pats on head for effort]
Whites smugly showing off their racism has to be a form of virtue signaling.
“Look at me I’m a proud malignant narcissist! I’m soooooooo evil, am I cool or what?”
Sure, this is ok but when tumblr gave y’all a taste of your own medicine in 2012 that was too far?
full on racism…
On the other hand
I’m pretty critical of the CCP’s information control policies. But if they pledge to specifically oppress racist pedophilic weebs like you, I would pledge my soul to the immortal truth of Marxist-Xiism
place really is 4chan for boomers
Funny thing is that across the JP sphere (including 2ch!) they’re mostly a mix of curiosity about the daily lives of Chinese girls and how it’ll differ from Japanese anime and nostalgia because it could have come straight out of 2014 Kirara (like Yuyushiki, Kiniro Mosaic, etc). Twitter manages to be more Hitler on behalf of Japan than Japan itself.
Which is there more of? Pedos or racist precum babies
Usually one and the same.
Yuri communities talking about China always seem to do one of these three:
- Falsely claim or imply that homosexuality/ queer content is illegal in China.
- Bring up Tamen de Gushi. From what I read it was the publisher that demanded the censorship, not the government. Also there are still many other yuri manhua that is still published so it does not look like an institutional problem.
- They will say that Honkai Star Rail/ ZZZ/ Genshin is less gay than Honkai Impact 3
It was only a matter of time. The anime aesthetic is clearly very popular, and mass media like anime has proven to be very good at generating soft power internationally. See my favorite quote from the fediverse:
I don’t even see any politics on my instance! listen dude, i actually support china because i play genshin impact
Fun fact: the Youtube equivalent in China, Bilibili, started out as a niche anime streaming site for weebs, which itself was a copy of a niche Japanese anime streaming site that featured “scrolling comments on screen”.
I still don’t know how that happened to be honest. There were quite a few strong competitors throughout the 2000s (Tudou, Youku etc.) but in the end it was a niche anime streaming site that took the entire market.
I wouldn’t call Niconico niche lol
What’s this show actually called, though?
Call-Up Girls in English. 呼唤少女 in Chinese.
It has a webcomic if you want to read in advance.I should’ve figured that the “呼唤少女” in the watermark in the top-left was probably the title…
China has anime?
Im officially revoking my support for the CCP.
China has anime?
Im officially revoking my support for the CCP.
It’s not anime, it’s donghua which is completely different don’t worry about it.
my partner has been going hard lately for Chinese anime
Oh shit do they have any favorites? I watched a few nearly a decade ago and they were pretty sloppy, so I’d be interested in a curated list
If you haven’t watched Link Click 时光代理人, please bump it up in your list. Season 1 was one of the best animated shows I’ve watched in a long time. Season 2 is still solid but falls into a pretty by-the-books police chase procedural with some supernatural elements.
Scissor Seven was on Netflix and was pretty fun, great animation over a paper thin plot with a few funny characters.
I’m keen to see what reccos others have.
Seconding Link Click S1 being great and S2 being a letdown.
Noted
i will try to remember to ask! they’re right now
is it like Lucky Star but starring a Maoist cell during the Cultural Revolution?
God I wish
