Nobody believes they’re closer to homeless people than billionaires until they either become homeless or have a friend who became homeless.
Thanks I’m going to use this. It’s most suitable then telling people they’re a pay check away from being homeless and missing the point.
i like the variation “you’re 3 paychecks away from being homeless but you’re never going to be 3 paychecks away from being a billionaire”
