exactly. the same conservatives who were parroting conspiracies about new world order or deep state cabals and protecting neonazi rallies are now pretending they care about antisemitism. the west only cares about something that its trying to define as antisemitic- opposing israel- and not genuine antisemitism like neonazi groups.

By protesting the genocide you are opposing the expansion of an empire-aligned ethnostate in a region we have been meddling in for, oh, 80 years now, because it’s full of the vroom vroom juice the empire needs to wage war and placate the internal populace. The USA is using the Israelis just as cynically as they are using the Ukrainians, just the circumstances are different, the motivation is the same. These protestors are unwittingly protesting the empire. The empire doesn’t like that. And it will use any and all arrows in its quiver to silence that dissent.
Not to mention liberals sat with their thumbs up their asses while actual antisemites recruited on the internet and irl too.
Those same anti semites are often racists and blood thirsty maniacs that murder black people in churches and shoot up schools full of children. Direct existential threats to the domestic population that get ignored while walls of cops descend on campuses and assault students.
I feel like at some point the conclusion is actually that the west simply does not actually find antisemitism to be a real problem, I think this rhetoric misidentifies what the actual problem is, which is widespread opposition to imperialism, colonialism, and the uniting genocidal islamophobia of the west.
They aren’t blind to the real classic antisemites still operating as usual, they just don’t include them on the threat charts. I would draw a comparison to how white nationalists don’t 100% rationally believe “anti-white racism” to be a legitimate threat to themselves, but they do understand the rhetoric as useful in pursuing mass violence against nonwhite populations.
